You will get one of these with every 1009 that you order, but if you are ordering 117 or 118 contractor poles, and intend on connecting two lengths together, you will need one of these connectors per connection you make.
Some people will find that they have high ceilings and are able to create storage space for more than six shelves.

Our largest contractor pole is only 85” high and therefore if you need your pole to be larger than this, you will probably need to attach two pieces of pole together to make a longer one. That’s where you add this piece of hardware.
